Privacy Policy

REVIEW DRAFT • Updated November 6, 2026. Resolve all bracketed items and verify the actual data practices before publication.

1. Who is responsible

VoltClip is a prelaunch project for voice-activated gaming clipping software, operated by Sawyer McDowell, an individual based in California, United States. Sawyer McDowell is the controller where applicable data protection law uses that term. Contact: contact@voltclip.gg. The waitlist welcomes adults worldwide, including in the EU and UK. [BUSINESS POSTAL CONTACT ADDRESS NOT YET ARRANGED; CONFIRM ANY REQUIRED REPRESENTATIVE DETAILS BEFORE PUBLICATION.]

This policy covers voltclip.gg and its launch waitlist, not future software. No payments, accounts or software downloads are offered through the current waitlist. The website does not request microphone access or collect voice recordings or game clips.

2. Information collected

Waitlist: your email address, your affirmative choice to receive launch announcements and product updates, and the version of the signup disclosure submitted with the form. If you email us, we also receive your message and information you choose to include.

Website operation and analytics: hosting and service providers may process connection and device information, such as IP address, browser, operating system, requested page, referrer and time of request. Framer Analytics is present on the live site. Google Analytics, when enabled by your choice, can process usage events and online identifiers. [VERIFY THE EXACT FIELDS, LOGS AND REMAINING ANALYTICS SETTINGS WITH EACH PROVIDER.]

3. Why information is used

Email addresses and signup choices are used to manage the waitlist and send the launch announcements and product updates requested. Correspondence is used to respond to questions, unsubscribe requests and privacy requests. Technical information supports website delivery, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Optional Google Analytics helps understand visits and improve the site; refusing it does not prevent joining the waitlist.

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the intended basis for waitlist marketing and optional analytics is consent. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Handling inquiries and maintaining the site may rely on legitimate interests, subject to applicable balancing requirements, and some processing may be required by law. [CONFIRM THE OPERATOR’S LAWFUL-BASES ASSESSMENT BEFORE PUBLICATION.]

4. Providers, storage and disclosures

Framer hosts this website and processes its forms and built-in analytics. The waitlist form sends submissions to Make, which forwards them to [EMAIL PLATFORM NAME] and Google Sheets. Google provides Google Sheets and processes optional Google Analytics data when allowed by your choice. [CONFIRM THE EMAIL PLATFORM, ANY OTHER DESTINATIONS, MAKE EXECUTION LOGS, FRAMER SUBMISSION STORAGE, HOSTING REGIONS AND PROVIDER CONTRACTS.]

Providers may process information outside your state or country. [VERIFY PROCESSING COUNTRIES AND APPLICABLE TRANSFER SAFEGUARDS, INCLUDING ANY REQUIRED DATA PROCESSING TERMS AND STANDARD CONTRACTUAL CLAUSES.] Information may also need to be disclosed when required by law or to address abuse and protect legal rights. [CONFIRM ANY OTHER RECIPIENTS OR BUSINESS-TRANSFER PRACTICES.]

We do not sell subscriber information, share it for targeted advertising, or use advertising pixels.

5. Cookies and analytics choices

The cookie preferences control stores your Google Analytics choice in this browser’s local storage. Google Analytics does not load through the new consent control until you affirmatively accept analytics. Accept and reject are available, and you can reopen Cookie Preferences in the footer to change your choice. The control does not manage email subscriptions.

Google Analytics can use cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to recognize a browser and measure visits. Rejecting analytics disables this integration and attempts to remove its first-party cookies. Browser settings can also clear cookies and local storage; clearing the stored choice causes the site to ask again. [CONFIRM GOOGLE ANALYTICS COOKIE LIFETIMES AND REMAINING PROPERTY SETTINGS; DATA RETENTION PERIODS ARE NOT COOKIE EXPIRATION PERIODS.]

Important configuration review: Framer’s built-in analytics operates separately from this Google Analytics choice. An existing FramerAuth script was also found on the live site despite the prelaunch-only offering. [REVIEW OR REMOVE THAT SCRIPT AND CONFIRM WHETHER FRAMER ANALYTICS REQUIRES CONSENT FOR YOUR VISITORS; CONFIGURE PLATFORM-LEVEL BLOCKING OR DISABLE IT WHERE REQUIRED. THIS CONTROL DOES NOT BLOCK THOSE SERVICES.]

The Google Analytics consent control treats Global Privacy Control and a browser Do Not Track value of “1” as a reason not to activate optional Google Analytics. These signals are not represented as a site-wide opt-out for every provider. Other parties, including optional analytics providers, may collect information about activity over time and across websites according to their own settings and policies. [VERIFY THE FINAL CROSS-SITE TRACKING AND SIGNAL-RESPONSE PRACTICES FOR CALOPPA DISCLOSURE.]

6. Retention and security

We keep active waitlist information until you unsubscribe or the waitlist closes, whichever comes first. This also applies if VoltClip does not launch and the waitlist is closed. When you unsubscribe, we manually remove your entry from the email platform, Google Sheets and other active waitlist storage. Google Analytics is configured for event-data retention of 2 months and user-data retention of 14 months. These controls apply to the user- and event-level data covered by Google’s retention settings; they do not affect most standard reporting based on aggregated data. [CONFIRM WHETHER “RESET ON NEW USER ACTIVITY” IS ENABLED, AS THIS CAN EXTEND RETENTION FOR A RETURNING USER.] [CONFIRM SEPARATE RETENTION AND DELETION SETTINGS FOR MAKE LOGS, FRAMER FORMS, FRAMER ANALYTICS, CORRESPONDENCE, BACKUPS AND ANY LEGALLY REQUIRED RECORDS.]

Access to the email platform, Google Sheets and Make accounts used for the waitlist is limited to Sawyer McDowell, with two-factor authentication enabled. No website or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send sensitive information in a waitlist submission or ordinary email.

7. Your choices and requests

You can withdraw email consent or ask to leave the waitlist by emailing contact@voltclip.gg with “Unsubscribe” in the subject. Sawyer McDowell handles these requests manually, stops further waitlist emails and removes your entry from the email platform, Google Sheets and other active waitlist storage. Changing analytics preferences does not unsubscribe you from email. [CONFIGURE AND TEST CAMPAIGN UNSUBSCRIBE LINKS AND SENDER DETAILS BEFORE SENDING MARKETING EMAILS.]

To request access, correction or deletion, email contact@voltclip.gg. Identify the email address used for the waitlist and what you are requesting; do not send government ID unless an appropriate verification process is specifically agreed. Sawyer McDowell handles requests manually, including coordinating deletion with the relevant providers. Requests may require proportionate verification, and applicable law may permit or require certain records to be retained. [VERIFY THE PROCESS FOR MEETING APPLICABLE RESPONSE DEADLINES AND DELETING PROVIDER LOGS AND BACKUPS.]

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, subject to legal conditions. You may withdraw consent at any time and complain to your competent supervisory authority. California privacy rights depend on which laws apply to this business; this draft does not claim the business meets CCPA/CPRA applicability thresholds. [ASSESS APPLICABILITY AND ADD REQUIRED CALIFORNIA RIGHTS AND OPT-OUT PROCEDURES IF APPLICABLE.]

8. Adults-only waitlist and children

The waitlist is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. The signup notice states that you must be 18 or older. We do not verify age through the form; this notice alone is not a complete COPPA compliance program. Children under 13 must not submit personal information. This website does not seek parental consent and is not intended to collect children’s information.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact contact@voltclip.gg. Sawyer McDowell will manually investigate, stop further emails to a discovered under-13 subscriber and arrange deletion from all relevant providers. If the service becomes directed to children or the operator gains actual knowledge of child users, collection must be reassessed and any required parental notice, consent or other COPPA measures put in place before continuing.

9. Updates and contact

Changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes may require additional notice or renewed consent where required by law. Questions, corrections, deletion requests and other privacy inquiries can be sent to contact@voltclip.gg.
